Welcome to This, That, and Grace

Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am Judy, and I am new to blogging. I came up with the name of This, That, and Grace because I plan to write about this and that. I added 'and Grace' for two reasons. One, because I am hoping you extend some grace to me as I learn to write and manage my blog, and two, because I will be sharing from time to time about the Grace and mercy I have received from my Savior and Lord, Jesus. I am a born again christian. I am a wife to David for the past 45 years; mom to 3 grown daughters, and Nana to 4 of the best grandkids anyone has ever had. They are 17, 9, 5, and 3 and they bring joy to us every day. I am a retired Registered Nurse. In my lifetime, I have tried many different 'things' such as licensed realtor, Disney Travel Agent, School secretary, and quite a few others. I am now adding 'blogger' to my list of things to try, AND I am excited to share that I am also writing some children's books. As of today, the first story is finished, and is being illustrated by my extremely talented niece. We are learning as we go and hope to share my first book some time this fall! Stay tuned.

About 5-6 years ago, we got ourselves some backyard chickens and have been having so much fun with that. Also, relatively new to me is raised bed garden beds. If anyone would have told me when I was younger that I would be doing all of this, I would have laughed, but I truly do enjoy all of it and learn something new each year.

My life has been 'this, and that' and a whole lot of grace, so it seemed fitting to call my blog that. I will write about all kinds of things and share very conversationally. Join in and leave comments; it will make it more fun for all of us.

This blog will NOT be about politics. It will not be about 'religion' per se. That said, I have a personal relationship with Jesus, so from time to time I will share my faith journey- or parts of it and what God is showing me or teaching me. Feel free to ask questions. I'm not an expert, but if I can share from my experiences and my faith, I'm happy to visit.
